Pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation No. 679/2016 regarding personal data protection (hereinafter the “Regulation” or “GDPR”), Luigi Lavazza S.p.A., as the Data Controller for personal data processing, informs you that the website you are browsing uses so-called “cookies” and similar technologies in order to enable its Websites (including the mobile version) and Apps to work better, and in order to tell you apart from other users. 2. WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are short strings of text that are automatically downloaded to the user’s browser or device with his/her consent (where necessary) while browsing the main and mobile versions of our Websites or using our Apps. 3. TECHNICAL, ANALYTICS AND FUNCTIONAL COOKIES

The cookies described in this section are sent directly from this website and may be either first-party or third-party cookies. The cookies are installed for the purposes indicated in relation to each of the various cookie categories given below.

Technical cookies _ These are cookies that are installed in order to allow the website to work better and to improve the functioning and performances of the website itself. Cookies of this type are used, for example, to store a user's decision about the use of cookies on the website. Technical cookies are not used for any further purposes and may be managed directly by Lavazza or by third parties.  These cookie categories can be used without the prior explicit consent of the user. All these cookies are enabled automatically. 

Analytical cookies _ This category includes “performance” or “analytics cookies”. These are cookies that collect information on the number of users browsing the website and on the website's most visited pages/sections (for example, which pages we receive reports of malfunctions from). These cookies provide the Controller with information on the performance of its websites/apps, and can be used with the consent of the user.

Functional cookies_ These allow the user to browse according to a set of selected criteria (e.g. language, text characters, browser type) in order to improve the service, and can be used with the consent of the user.

4. PROFILING COOKIES

Profiling cookies store the choices made by users while browsing, and are installed in order to create user profiles to which it is possible to provide targeted services or advertising content, to display content and to propose commercial initiatives based on the sections of our websites that are most relevant to users and their interests.  Profiling cookies can be used with the consent of the user. Consent is acquired through the opening of a banner displayed to users on their first visit to the website, using the “Manage your preferences” button.

5. TAGGING TECHNOLOGIES

Our Websites and Apps also make use of technologies similar to cookies, so-called tagging technologies, which allow us, for example, to understand what content appears to be most interesting to our users and whether a particular offer may be of interest to them.  The information obtained in this way can be used, with the user’s consent, to show products and commercial offers that are most relevant to their tastes. 6. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES AND SOCIAL MEDIA BUTTONS

Third-party cookies are installed by third-party websites, external to the website being browsed, in order to provide targeted services or content.  This Website also contains so-called social media buttons — i.e. digital buttons (so-called icons) to provide a direct connection to our social media pages (e.g. Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter) or through which the user can log in or register on the Website (e.g. Google, Amazon, Facebook) — which can install third-party cookies, i.e. cookies from their respective social media networks.  Third-party cookies can be used with the consent of the user, which is obtained as described in the previous section. Consent may be revoked at any time by disabling cookies in the manner described in the following paragraph, “How to manage cookies”. 

7. COOKIE DURATION

Cookies may be:
 

• Temporary or session cookies: used to store temporary information, allowing actions performed during a specific session to be connected and removed from the computer once the browser is closed;
• Permanent or persistent cookies: used to store information, e.g. name and password, so that users do not have to re-enter this information every time they visit a particular website. These cookies remain on the computer even after the browser is closed.

8. HOW TO MANAGE COOKIES

• directly from our Website, in the cookie manager section, which allows users to choose which types of cookies (including cookies from third-party partners) can be installed, go through the list of cookies and similar technologies used by us, and remove them;
