The Parainema variety, selected by the Instituto Hondureño del Café for its unique resistance levels, grows exclusively in the Chiriquí province on the slopes of the Volcán Barú, which, at 3,478 metres, is the highest point in Panama.
a name with a history
A tribute to the volcano of the seven craters
The Volcán Barú’s seven craters provided the inspiration for the name of this creation. Since 1976 they have been the heart of a national park created to protect the region’s exceptional biodiversity. It is here that the Hartmann family cultivates and harvests an arabica variety in very small quantities, which – through the expertise of 1895byLavazza – is now offered as an authentic tribute to Panama tradition.
